Speech by the Prime Minister have sakhti - Samy Vellu
KUALA LUMPUR 17 October - MIC President Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu described the speech Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak UMNO General Assembly in 2009 as a sakhti or power and strength of its own.
According to him, what is clear from his speech Najib is already providing power to the people.
"Speech is no sakhti, no power or strength. Prime Minister give that power to the people where they can be united to support the government that actually served to the people," he said.
He said this at a press conference organized after the MIC Deepavali open house at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) here today.
General Assembly speech on the party which ended yesterday centered on the importance of united, ready to change, to wholeheartedly serve the people and the sacrifice of a leader.
Samy Vellu said he was present on the first day Najib spoke at the rally and take note of what is read.
"There are some new things in his speech," he said.
According to him, MIC will take instruction from the speech Najib to UMNO members.
Add Samy Vellu, sakhti or strength shown Prime Minister explained that one thing which the country is now in a way that is most suitable.
In the same context he said, any MIC leaders who do not want to work hard are requested to leave the party concerned.

Defend kampung sembulan in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Even located in the middle of the development of cities, villages in the Malay Kampung Sembulan Lama, New Sembulan and Sembulan East (Village Sembulan) is maintained and stand firm stated that its inhabitants.
Although aware of the more rapid development since the sandwich 15 years ago, they did not intend to leave your beloved village. It is there raised in their life and seek to connect.
Hence, they will continue to defend the Malay village Kampung Sembulan as a single in the city.
That the children expressed teak village concerned. Acting Chairman of the Board for the Village Sembulan, Piasin Hamid, 50, and Chairman of the General Affairs City Umno Youth, Bahr Razha Chuprat, Kampung Sembulan must be maintained as a Malay village areas.
They realize the area between 24 to 28 hectares (over village land) and 16 hectares (the water village) became sought-after real estate company. For a long time, the company made various efforts to get the area for commercial purposes.
However, more than 2,000 people inhabit the 234 houses in the village is not too easy to evaluate the price of land they owned. After various parties, especially the real estate developer company trying to persuade owners approve the proposed transfer of land to enable the area since taken over tens of years, now they are determined to defend the village.
Hamid said, they are not rejected or does not know the rate of development progress, but many companies persuaded people to sell land.
"We are not willing to villages disappeared because it was the only Malay village in the city.
"We are willing, if the Federal Government or state restructuring of villages, particularly on home water is mostly rented to people who find sustenance in the city, including illegal immigrants.
"We are often labeled by people outside do not know because hygiene garbage fill the house above water. However, they do not know the real problem here. Water here can not move fast into the sea because only one channel available to small drains that flow to sea, "he said.
He said, building new commercial real estate company completed a village near the water as it seems to signal that landowners consider the future of villages that eventually must be released to the developer company.
"We do not know how the company can get the land developed as commercial areas because they are not land people. Beside the building is the village on 16 hectares of water area.
"Besides, there is the 1.4 hectares of reserves the government has built houses on the water. We seek land for so long again but no answer," he said.
Hamid claims, land in Kampung Sembulan divided into several types of ownership of Lease City (Town Lease or TL) and Country Lease (CL) respectively have the age limit ownership, in addition to requiring payment of land premium compared to the Native Title has no age limit .
He said the villagers have no land of TL and CL trying to pay land premium before the lease period ended, but was surprised when the land value set premiums too expensive to reach tens of thousands of dollars.
"We do not have that much money to pay the land premium is too expensive. Is there a hidden agenda as if we are forced to move when holding land ends and we can not afford to pay the land premium is too expensive," reported

JAKARTA October 16 - All 650 Malaysian students in several universities in Jakarta confirmed safe in an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale that struck the capital of Indonesia is at 4:52 pm local time Friday.
Walaupunnya only about a minute but most Malaysian students felt the earthquake shaking and rushed out the house or building in which they are to save themselves, because concerned stricken ruins.
Malaysian Students Department director Datuk Dr Junaidi in Indonesia, Abu Bakar told Bernama that the embassy immediately contacted leaders of student groups and Malaysia have all the confirmation they are in safe.
Reported the incident when officials at the Embassy of Malaysia who are here and meet other staff also immediately run out because the building was shaking earthquake felt very strong.
No full report of property damage or injury and loss of life caused by the earthquake, except for two classes at a school in Ujong Kulon, around the epicenter was reportedly collapsed.

KUALA LUMPUR, October 16 - Congress of Union Workers in the Civil Service (Cuepacs) decided to claim the two-month bonus for the 1.2 million government servants.
President Omar Osman asked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced consider this matter during the budget presentation for 2010 on October 23 next.
Results Cuepacs was achieved at the meeting Cuepacs Congress attended by about 120 members today.
Omar said Cuepacs received many reports and complaints dissatisfaction after the government last month announced a special assistance of RM500 only for servants support only and not all.
"We hope the announcement of the budget presentation in October this good news to members of the public service," he told reporters after the Council Annual Hari Raya organized by Cuepacs in Puspanita Building in Jalan Hose, here.

KUALA LUMPUR, October 16 - Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak warned Umno members not to exploit new methods of selection positions in the party.
Umno president said although the system is more stringent selection of the position, but it lead to party members to make changes so that they become better.
"We I change people, difficult. So we create a system that more stringent so that people do change. Ultimately they are so good person, if-God.
"I tell, do not destroy, exploit the new system. We are serious, do not apologize .... If you try to (do) address their responsibility (padahnya)," he said in a speech delay Umno General Assembly 2009, here today.
He said the new selection method of claim Umno members to make changes is to show a clean image of Umno, and books by people of integrity.
"When people see Umno, the party was really I help, I help, I winner to the people. Non-chaotic and warring among ourselves.
"Not us ... can I get a contract, but we must be able to do work. Umno nak I became champion for the people," he said.
In the meantime, he is quite confident that Umno is ready to make changes and prosper as a strong party.
He said that based on the spirit of restlessness "extraordinary"
shown when Umno leaders attended the Umno General Assembly this time.
"I saw this great gathering of the best since I began to attend in 1976 because I saw we were facing a very big test for a year and I quite gusar, despondent my heart to see whether party members have been recovered in terms of spirit.
"It may rise again or not? Already aware or not? It truly repent or not. But on this day when I stood in front of the gentlemen, all the skepticism that has expired altogether.
"I dare say, and quite confident that Umno at the time and when this is ready to rise, rise as a new force," he said.
To ensure a strong Umno, Najib reminded Umno leaders and members to remove the conduct or behavior that is not good and change is not necessarily involve the provision.
"If the change from lazy so hard, I need provisions. If the day, night down under find people, not to provisions, he can work.
"After that, if he kind of arrogant, now he is humble, not necessary provisions. If he is contradictory to love working. But if I add activities or programs, we are willing to give additional provisions," he said.

"I asked whether I gentlemen ready for change, working, people approaching, so a strong party, to serve the people," because the cries greeted the "Yes" by the audience at Freedom House, held the rally.
